HWC is a local wrestling club in Southwest Virginia with an excellent program targeting K-8 and high school level athletes. With several dedicated coaches and volunteers, the HWC trains kids for folkstyle competition wrestling and in doing so teaches important life skills such as discipline, time management, goal achievement, responsibility and being a good sport. Designed originally as a re-loading program for the local high school wrestling team, the Highlands Wrestling Club has become much more than that. Their structured program continues to give hope and new leases on life to many potentially delinquent youths.
